| Illinois Central Gulf caboose 199596 was on the rear of a southbound grain train as it crossed the 7-year old concrete trestle across Pass Manchac. On the other end of the train were GP10 8216, SD40 6056, U33C 5058 and caboose 199510. The train was heading for a grain elevator along the Mississippi River, and would have to reverse direction at Kenner, just west (timetable north) of New Orleans. |
