PRR 5864, EP-20, 1965
Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 6 June 1965. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5864 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #5864 is an EP-20 constructed in February of 1948 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. They're pulling a westbound passenger train into the Altoona Station, whose platform is visible in the foreground. (#25 of 44)
