A view towards the diamond at Alliance. The signals stayed on for a little while after the train went by. The unused switch in the left corner is all that remains of the former interchange between the PRR and the LE&W, which later became NYC and eventually abandoned. Behind the Track 2 signal you can see new switches ready for installation. With new switches (for I presume faster speed turnouts) can we assume the two remaining PL's on NS's main line in Ohio are now on the endangered list? |
