Here is an excellent example of a 1913 Alco-Schenectady built Consolidation type locomotive, a G-34c class member. It had the nicely white-walled 63" drivers and developed a boiler pressure of 195 psi to feed to its 22.5"x30" cylinders. The engine weight hovered at 214, 000 lb and it could apply a tractive effort of 39,958 lb. No photographer listed for this photo. |
