| Delivered to Penn Central as GP38-2 8010 in August 1972, this locomotive rolled into the Conrail fleet wearing the same number until lease expiration and became EMDX 810. This this photo 810 is on lease to Southern Pacific wearing Conrail blue with GM and EMD logos applied over the Conrail markings with patches of PC black returning. This locomotive later became LLPX 2340 wearing full UP paint without UP markings until joining the GATX lease fleet and becoming GMTX 2193 but still in Armor Yellow. Note the Santa Fe yellow sunshade. |
